Privacy Policy

Information you provide

We process account information such as your email, name, username, date of birth and gender; profile information and photos; posts, comments, stories and messages; and files you choose to upload. Date of birth and gender are kept with your private account information and are not displayed on public profiles. Signup is currently limited to people aged 18 and older.

Jobs include listings, applications, résumés and application decisions. Recruiter personal names, photos and profile links are not shown on job listings. A business name and information the poster includes in the job text or photo remain visible. Fernuv retains recruiter account details privately to manage applications, safety and support. Submitted résumés are available to the account that posted the job. Applicants can see when that recruiter opens or downloads a résumé. An opened status does not prove the document was read.

If you use Marketplace seller or delivery features, we may process business, listing, address and order information. Payment-provider onboarding and payment data are handled by the configured payment provider when payment features are enabled.

Terms and safety records

We record the version and time of your terms acceptance and your adult-age declaration. Uploaded community photos, profile pictures and video frames are sent to OpenAI for automatic safety screening before others can view them. Safe uploads publish after the check; unavailable or failed checks remain private for retry. Animated images are checked across frames and videos are sampled, so automatic checks can miss violations or make mistakes. Safe uploads publish automatically without human approval. Private message attachments, audio and live broadcasts are not sent through this community-media scanner. Live broadcasting is available to eligible adult accounts without prior moderator approval; reported content can be reviewed and restricted. Authorized moderators can review submitted media and reported content, including reported messages, and record decisions. Safety records are restricted and used to handle reports, appeals and abuse.

How information is used

We use this information to provide accounts, community features, messages, jobs and Marketplace; show your chosen content to the permitted audience; process reports and prevent abuse; provide support; and maintain and protect the service.

Sharing and service providers

Posts and other community content are shared according to account privacy, audience and blocking settings. Names, usernames and profile photos may remain discoverable. Job posts are intended for discovery by signed-in members. Do not put sensitive personal information in public content.

We use Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, and Vercel for website hosting and server functions. When you use AI Studio, the text you submit is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Avoid including confidential or sensitive personal data in prompts. Providers process data under their own applicable terms and privacy policies. Processing may occur outside your country.

New direct messages are access-controlled but are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized service operation, support or moderation may require access to data. A report can share the reported content with authorized moderators. Older protected messages may remain encrypted with their original passphrase.

Device permissions and local storage

Camera and microphone access support calls, live sessions and voice notes. Location is requested when you choose to share it. Files and photos are selected by you. You can change permissions in your device settings. Authentication and preferences use necessary browser/app storage to keep you signed in. This notice describes the current web service. A separate mobile release will have its own verified permission and data disclosures before submission.

Cookies, storage and optional tracking

Essential storage supports sign-in, security, requested features and saving your privacy choices. It remains available when you reject optional tracking. Optional analytics is off until you accept it.

Optional view analytics records story and live-session views in Supabase. If you allow it, your profile may appear in the content owner’s viewer list. Rejecting or withdrawing stops new optional view records. Necessary interactions, message delivery and read status, and live participation still work.

No third-party analytics or advertising trackers are currently enabled. Choosing advertising does not activate a tracker. New providers or purposes require a renewed choice. Signing up, accepting terms, confirming your age or granting camera access does not consent to optional tracking.

Your choices apply to this browser or app on this device for up to 180 days. You can reject optional tracking, choose categories individually, or withdraw at any time here or in Settings.

Subscriptions

The service-provider listing plan is CAD $40 per month, with monthly renewal and cancellation before the next renewal. Subscription checkout is not active. Signup and privacy choices do not authorize charges. See Pricing and subscriptions for details.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account here or use the Delete account link in Settings. Deletion removes the account, profile and associated content and uploaded files from active systems. Most requests finish in a few minutes; processing problems or large accounts can take longer. Contact support with the displayed request reference if a request has not completed within 7 days.

Records necessary for transactions, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations may be retained with restricted access for those purposes and applicable retention periods. Shared conversations can remain for other participants without your deleted messages. Backups expire according to the provider’s configured retention. Copies previously downloaded, shared or saved by other people cannot be recalled.

Files you download or save outside Fernuv remain in that location until you or the receiving application remove them.

Your choices

You can edit profile information, adjust privacy and audience settings, block members, change device permissions, report content and request account deletion. Contact us for access, correction or other privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Updates and security

We update this notice when the service changes. Access controls and safeguards reduce risks, but no system guarantees perfect security. Please report suspected unauthorized access to support promptly.
